Lead found in 4 New Jersey schools

Water sources at four schools tested above lead levels permitted by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the district reported this week.

The contaminated water was found in 15 sinks and water fountains at Ramsey High School, Smith Middle School, Tisdale Elementary School and Hubbard Elementary School, according to the district.

Results for Dater Elementary School, which is the newest school in the district, will be announced later this week, district officials said.
